Freilichtmuseum Hessenpark

Neu-Anspach, Hessen

Spread over 65 hectares in the Taunus hills, this open-air museum has re-erected more than a hundred historic buildings from across Hesse. They are grouped into villages, farmsteads and workshops, often with period furniture, tools and machinery, and show how people lived and worked in the Hessian countryside over past centuries. It makes a good outing for families.
