Franziskanerkloster Neubrandenburg

Neubrandenburg, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern

Neubrandenburg's regional museum occupies a medieval Franciscan friary that stood from the 13th century until the Reformation. So much of the historic fabric survives that it ranks among the notable monuments of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. The refectory and the former friary church of St. Johannis are especially well preserved. The permanent and special exhibitions fill most of the friary buildings.
