Feuerwehrmuseum Dietzenbach

Dietzenbach, Hessen

Firefighting history in Dietzenbach's old town: the former vehicle hall holds large equipment, historic fire engines and portable pumps. Highlights are a retired motorised turntable ladder and the town's first motorised fire engine, an Opel Blitz from 1950. Display windows along the walls trace the development of equipment in chronological order, with documents. A second section gathers exhibits from around the world, especially from the French, Belgian and Canadian partner brigades, along with a large collection of model vehicles.
