Feuerwehrmuseum Bayern

Waldkraiburg, Bayern

About 60 kilometres east of Munich, this museum fills some 4,500 square metres of hall space with more than 150 years of Bavarian firefighting history. Over 100 vehicles are on show, along with around 5,000 smaller items, from a leather fire bucket and nineteenth-century uniforms to modern LED blue lights. Many exhibits can be touched and tried out, which suits families with children as well as fire-service enthusiasts after the details.
