Fahrradmuseum Retz

Around 280 items from two centuries of cycling fill the rooms of this museum on Retz's castle square: historic bicycles, military bikes, bells, lamps, tool bags, child seats, luggage racks, cycling pictures and advertising posters. Trophies and medals from races round off the display. Look out for the model of a steam-powered tricycle, shown with a copy of the original drawing and the story of its inventor, Ludwig Czischek-Christen. The collection grew from one man's passion for old bicycles, gathered over more than 40 years.
