Burg Hardegg

This hilltop castle rises above the small town of Hardegg in the Thaya valley. In the Middle Ages it grew into one of the largest in the country, with a tower, a great hall and a chapel, and served as the seat of the County of Hardegg. It was restored in the late 19th century.
