A cage takes you about 500 metres down into this former potash and salt mine. The tour by vehicle passes an underground mining museum, a huge bucket-wheel excavator and a crystal grotto with enormous salt crystals. One chamber held the Reichsbank's gold reserves, found by US troops in 1945.
