Emser Bergbaumuseum

Bad Ems, Rheinland-Pfalz

Housed in the old foreman's building of the lead smelter, this museum covers the lead and zinc mining of the spa town of Bad Ems. You will find a mineral cabinet, technical exhibits, a museum railway and the mining archive. The story runs from Roman miners and medieval silver to the pit's closure in 1945, including the long conflict between the mine and the town's thermal springs.
