This railway museum occupies the surviving northern part of the former Dresden-Altstadt locomotive depot, right by the Nossener Brücke. It centres on railway technology and the history of the depot, which grew out of the expansion of the Bohemian Station. Dresden has several other museums on rail transport nearby.
