Eisenbahnmuseum Bochum

Bochum, Nordrhein-Westfalen

This railway museum occupies a locomotive depot built in 1916–18 in Bochum-Dahlhausen. At its heart are the 14-stall engine shed with its 20-metre turntable, the water tower, the workshops and the coaling, watering and sanding facilities. Two more exhibition halls with tracks and a working narrow-gauge line complete the site of about 46,000 square metres. The whole depot is a listed monument.
