Museum unter Tage

This art museum lies beneath the park of Haus Weitmar, built underground along the park's main axis to spare the landscape. Over more than 1,500 square metres it holds the permanent show Weltsichten, on landscape in art across six centuries. It extends the neighbouring Situation Kunst collection, which includes archaic art from Africa and Asia and contemporary room installations. The galleries are around four metres high.
