Dorfmuseum Mertingen

Three old village buildings typical of the area tell how people lived in a North Swabian village in the 19th and early 20th centuries: a farmstead, a barn and a schoolhouse. Inside you find everyday things from the household and the farm, from crafts and trade, and from faith and local custom. Regular demonstrations such as cabbage stamping, butter churning, cider pressing and hand threshing with flails bring the old ways of village life to life.
