Dieselmuseum

Schramberg, Baden-Württemberg

A power station from 1904 in Schramberg's industrial park houses this technology museum. The industrial architect Philipp Jakob Manz built it in Art Nouveau-inspired forms for the Hamburg-Amerikanische Uhrenfabrik. The centrepiece is an MAN diesel engine with generator from 1910-11, still complete and in its original place. A camera museum is set up in a former photo studio within the same building.
