Deutsches Segelflugmuseum
Gersfeld (Rhön), Hessen
On the Wasserkuppe, a gliding site since about 1910, this museum covers around 4,000 square metres and follows the development of gliding from Lilienthal's hang gliders to modern plastic gliders. Alongside full-size gliders there are historically significant model aircraft. In the volunteer-run workshop downstairs, aircraft are restored for the exhibition.
