Deutsches Hirtenmuseum

Hersbruck, Bayern

In the main house, a 16th-century townsman's farmhouse, clothing, tools and crafts from shepherds around the world illustrate an ancient profession. In the barn, the exhibition Mensch – Tier (Human – Animal) covers about 230 square metres on how people have kept livestock since prehistoric times. At more than ten hands-on stations you can, for instance, try harnessing a life-like cow with a head yoke.
