Dampflokmuseum Hermeskeil

Housed in the old locomotive depot of 1888, right opposite the station, this museum gathers more than 50 original steam locomotives built between 1913 and 1976. Six stand in the roundhouse, the rest out on the open grounds. You will also see tenders, a DEMAG crane, a Mitropa dining car, draisines, freight wagons and diesel and electric locomotives. The collection ranks among the largest of its kind in Europe.
