České muzeum hudby

Praha, Praha

Music is the theme in a former Baroque church of St Mary Magdalene on Prague's Malá Strana, built between 1654 and 1679 to designs by Francesco Caratti. The Czech Museum of Music, part of the National Museum, gathers instruments and other material connected with music. Its holdings grew to include the Bedřich Smetana and Antonín Dvořák museums. The three-nave building is worth a look in its own right.
