Muzeum Bedřicha Smetany
Praha, Praha
Housed in the Renaissance Revival former Old Town waterworks right by Charles Bridge, this museum follows the life and music of Bedřich Smetana. You will see personal belongings and period documents from his estate, including his piano, along with copies of letters, photographs and press cuttings. A nice touch: music stands holding material on his best-known works, where an electronic baton lets you listen to extracts. Upper floors hold a research archive.
