Bürgermeister-Stroof-Haus

Built around 1700 to 1720, this house was both home and office of the first mayor of Vilich, and it recalls how things stood in the early 19th century. You will see timber framing, a thatch-like straw-dummy roof, an open hearth on medieval rubble-stone walls and late Baroque interiors with Cologne stucco ceilings and wall panelling. It serves as a history house for the east bank of Bonn.
