Buddha-Museum Traben-Trarbach

Traben-Trarbach, Rheinland-Pfalz

Around 2,000 Buddha figures fill this museum in Trarbach, which also explains Buddhism. It occupies the former Julius Kayser wine cellar of 1905/06, designed by Art Nouveau architect Bruno Möhring and once Europe's only winery built in that style. The building was restored close to its original state and fitted with new technology for the exhibits. The museum opened in 2009.
