Bildhauerhaus
Walldürn, Baden-Württemberg
A room in Walldürn's old town honours the Juncker family of Franconian sculptors, on the spot where Zacharias Juncker lived around 1625. He created the Heiligblut altar, and with his father, brother and son left work between Mainz and Bamberg that marks the shift from Renaissance to Baroque. An audio guide leads you through the room and explains 25 sample works as well as the altar in detail.
