Besucherbergwerk Grube Fortuna
Oberbiel, Hessen
Visitors descend into a historic red iron ore mine between the Lahn valley and the Westerwald and learn how miners worked. There is a mining museum with hands-on activities for children and a neighbouring field and mine railway museum. The site also has a pit restaurant and a mining trail.
