Bergbaumuseum Achthal

Iron ore was once mined on the Teisenberg, and this museum tells the story. It occupies the listed former administration building of the ironworks company and has an artificially built show tunnel. You learn about mining and smelting in the Salzburg-Bavarian region and see products cast at Achthal, such as machine parts, decorated stove elements and grave crosses. Saint Barbara, patron saint of miners, also features.
