Bergarbeiterwohnmuseum
Lünen, Nordrhein-Westfalen
Half of a miners' house built in 1904/05 has been furnished as a mining family would have lived around 1930. You see kitchen equipment, furniture and decoration, along with exposed wiring, whitewashed walls, a red plank floor and an outside privy. The house stands in the colliery settlement of the former Minister Achenbach pit in Brambauer and is part of the Route of Industrial Heritage. Neighbours and visitors added many of the household items over the years.
