Nahverkehrsmuseum Dortmund

Dortmund, Nordrhein-Westfalen

A former locomotive repair workshop in Dortmund's Obernette district now tells the story of local public transport. Historic Dortmund trams run over about nine kilometres of former Hoesch and coking-plant track, including to the neighbouring Hansa coking plant museum in Huckarde. Because the line is not electrified, coupled generator cars supply the power. The museum is on the Route of Industrial Heritage.
