Baierwein-Museum
Bach an der Donau, Bayern
This museum is devoted to winegrowing in Old Bavaria and the Baierwein of Bach an der Donau. It occupies a 14th-century Biethaus holding one of Germany's oldest wine presses, dated 1615. The extension shows grape mills, screw presses and wine filters, along with wall panels and films on the history. A trail through the museum vineyard explains the region's main grape varieties.
