Historisches Museum Regensburg

Regensburg, Bayern

The displays here run from the Stone Age to the 20th century, covering the archaeology, history, art and culture of Regensburg and eastern Bavaria. The museum occupies the former Minorite monastery of St Salvator, dating from the 13th century. On the ground floor the archaeological collection moves from prehistory and the Celts to Roman times, with the legionary fort Castra Regina taking the most space.
