Archeoskanzen Modrá

Modrá, Zlínský kraj

A reconstructed Great Moravian settlement on the edge of the village of Modrá, with a palisade, gate and watchtowers. Inside are replica half-sunken huts, a craftsmen's quarter and a larger house for a local magnate, plus a sacred area with Slavic idols, small fields and animal pens. On the nearby hill you can see the foundations of a genuine Great Moravian church and a modern replica of it. All the buildings are based on archaeological finds.
