Archäologischer Park Kellmünz

Kellmünz an der Iller, Bayern

On the high bank above the Iller stood the late Roman fort Caelius Mons, built around 300 AD as an important base on the Danube-Iller-Rhine Limes. In the park, reconstructed wall remains and a path marked with coloured paving show its size. The museum tower tells the story of the Roman province of Raetia through excavation finds and a short film.
