Alamannenmuseum Weingarten

Weingarten, Baden-Württemberg

The Schlössle, a granary built in 1621, holds the finds from an early medieval cemetery excavated between 1952 and 1956. On show are well-preserved jewellery, everyday objects and weapons from the Alamannic and Merovingian periods in south-west Germany. The museum has displayed them since 1976, and an installation of two graves was added later.
