Dölsach, Tirol

Four kilometres east of Lienz in the Drau valley, the ruins of a Roman town spread over about 30,000 square metres. It was raised to municipium status under Emperor Claudius. It lay at a road junction leading towards the Möll valley and its Tauern gold. The town wall, which exists only on the east side, remains a puzzle.
