Museum für Naturkunde Gera

Gera's natural history museum stands on the Nicolaiberg in the eastern old town, right beside the Salvatorkirche. It is housed in the Schreibersches Haus, built after the city fire of 1686 on older foundations. It was the only notable building within the town walls to survive the fire of 1780.
