Beside the ruined church of Hude's Cistercian monastery, a fine example of North German brick Gothic, this small museum traces how the monastery arose, flourished and declined. The surrounding landscape park, laid out on English garden models, holds the gatehouse chapel, the abbot's house and the former brewery. Guided tours are available.
