This is the place to get to know Neubrandenburg: the museum tells the story of the town and its surrounding region across several exhibition sites. Its first permanent display opened in 1873 in the main tower of the Treptow Gate, making it the first civic museum in Mecklenburg-Strelitz. Today it holds extensive collections on the town's history.
