Patton Memorial Pilsen

Set in the Peklo cultural house in Plzeň, this memorial recalls the city's liberation by the US Army in 1945. More than a thousand items, mostly from private collections, include photographs, documents, uniforms, weapons and field rations, backed by sound effects and period film clips. It covers the last air raids, the bombing of the Škoda works and the American soldiers' stay, with particular attention to General Patton.
