Oberschwäbisches Museumsdorf Kürnbach
Bad Schussenried, Baden-Württemberg
Thatched Upper Swabian farmhouses fill this open-air museum at Kürnbach near Bad Schussenried. Its 32 buildings span six centuries and show rural work and home life. It grew from the Kürnbachhaus of 1664, a farmhouse with a roof smoke outlet, plank walls and a threshing floor in the middle. Three more houses of this type stand here.
