Muzeum Zamek Opalińskich

The rebuilt south wing of Sieraków's old castle now houses this museum, open since 1995. The castle goes back to the late 14th century, when the Nałęcz family built it, and later owners such as the Górka and Opaliński families reshaped it. It is a good place to picture the medieval stronghold, with its twin wings, chambers heated by stoves and fireplaces, and vaulted cellars.
