Muzeum Ikon w Supraślu

Set within the Orthodox monastery at Supraśl, this museum presents about 300 icons, sacred objects and frescoes in a multimedia exhibition. Its nine rooms are dressed to evoke a church interior, a hermit's cave or a village cottage, with light, image and sound creating a contemplative mood. Many of the icons arrived after customs officers seized them from smugglers bringing them in across the eastern border.
