Muzeum Fotoateliér Seidel

This Art Nouveau house on Linecká street was both home and studio to the Seidel family of photographers, and it shows how portraits and landscapes were made in Český Krumlov a century ago. Josef and František Seidel recorded the southeastern Šumava region: its scenery, its towns and the everyday life of its people, including relations between Czechs and Germans in the first half of the 20th century. The house dates from 1905 and opened as a museum in 2008 after the family's heirs sold it. The whole photographic collection has been digitised.
