Museum Römervilla
Grenzach-Wyhlen, Baden-Württemberg
This regional museum is built around an excavated Roman villa urbana in Grenzach. The dig uncovered wall sections more than two metres high, marble door and window mouldings, and fragments of wall paintings showing life-size figures from Roman mythology. Traces of at least four outbuildings show the manor house once belonged to a whole estate.
