How did people come to the northern Upper Palatinate, and why did so many have to leave? The permanent exhibition follows these questions through personal stories, from 1920 to the present. The building, the former Noglschmied smithy, went up after the town fire of 1832, and its original forge hearth still stands on the ground floor.
