Music and the cultures of the world are the theme of this Mannheim museum, spread over two floors and 1,350 square metres. The MusikWelten exhibition shows European and non-European instruments, including a notable collection of ancient American ones. The new building stands on a site where excavations uncovered remains of early settlement.
