Hölderlinhaus

The baroque house that Hölderlin's grandfather bought in 1743 and extended until 1750 is now a museum about the poet, born in Lauffen in 1770. Across four exhibition rooms, quotations from letters and excerpts from poems show different facets of his personality. After a careful restoration of the listed building, it opened in 2020 for his 250th birthday.
