Gottfried-Silbermann-Museum
Frauenstein, Sachsen
The house at Markt 4 in Frauenstein is devoted to the organ builder Gottfried Silbermann, his life and his work. The permanent exhibition runs over three floors: the lower level covers the history of the town and its castle, while the main hall deals with Silbermann's organ and instrument building. The Neo-Renaissance building dates from 1870, after a town fire, and reopened as a museum in 2021.
