This lovingly furnished local museum in Mönkebude is all about fishing and shipping on the Stettin Lagoon. Fish traps, netting, eel spears, a Quatzen boat and oil-dripping bags all belong to the lives of the fishing and sailing families. Photos and facts also trace the village's past, first mentioned in 1244 as the Slavic settlement Doblowitz, and its growth into a seaside resort.
