Dithmarscher Landesmuseum
Meldorf, Schleswig-Holstein
This regional history museum in Meldorf walks you through 1,200 years of Dithmarschen's past, from the Battle of Hemmingstedt in 1500 through the First World War and the Nazi era to everyday life in the 1960s. The exhibition also questions the myth of Dithmarschen and draws on the local collection, including the Dithmarscher Landrecht of 1447.
