Deutsches Meeresmuseum
Stralsund, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern
The hall of the former St. Catherine's Church in Stralsund's old town holds exhibitions on fishing, marine conservation and ocean research, and on the plants and animals of the sea. Aquaria house living sea creatures, among them sea turtles and South Sea fish. It is the oldest site of the Deutsches Meeresmuseum and reopened in 2024 after a full modernisation.
