This museum traces how Fastnacht, Fasching and carnival came about and developed, seen through cultural history. It is the official museum of the Bund Deutscher Karneval and opened in Kitzingen in 1966. The collection was long housed in the medieval Falterturm and in a house on Rosenstraße.
