Buchen sits where the Odenwald meets the Bauland, and this regional museum takes that border landscape as one of its themes. You will also find the story of the Ambtskellerei, a wine cellar dating from 1493, regional artists, the composer Joseph Martin Kraus and a collection of musical instruments. Another focus is Roman engineering along the Upper Germanic Limes, a UNESCO World Heritage site.
