Besucherbergwerk Alte Hoffnung Erbstolln

You enter this mine by boat, kitted out with helmet, smock and lamp. It shows the water-power technology of the 19th century; the first underground turbine in Freiberg mining turned here in 1843. Parts of it have been rebuilt at full scale and are demonstrated underground, and you can try working with hammer and iron. The way out is up ladders.
